Creo Tutorial 3

Modeling & Assembling of  Universal Coupling Using Creo Software

About Universal Coupling:

When two shafts are at some inclination to one another, the universal coupling is used to
connect these shafts. The angle between the two shafts is usually less than 30 degrees. The angle
between the two shafts may be varied even when they are in motion. It is used in automobile
propeller shaft, differential and milling machine, etc.

In this coupling, there are two forks keyed to the shafts. These forks are connected to the
central cross piece by using pins. The axis of the pins will be at right angles to each other.
