Modeling & Assembling of Plummer Block using Creo software
About Plummer Block:
It is a split type of journal bearing to support horizontal shafts. It is used for supporting shafts
that run at high speed. It consists of a cast-iron block, brasses, and a cast iron cup. The brasses (bush) are provided between the block cup and are fastened by using two square-headed bolts and locknuts.
The block has a sole. The bottom brass has a snug. It seals on the sung hole provided in the block.
This arrangement is to prevent the rotation of the bush. Collars provided at both ends of the brasses
prevent the axial movement of the brasses.
